Lili Dulce Artisan Treats
In March 2020, this business was born due to the pandemic. Marcel, my youngest son, was spending a lot of time on electronics, and I wanted to find him another distraction to keep him busy since we couldn’t leave the house. Marcel told me he wanted to learn how to bake, and I saw an excellent opportunity to keep him away from his video games and learn something fun. Alberto, an Argentine pastry chef, taught us how to make alfajores, a delicious cookie filled with dulce de leche. Alfajores are very popular in South America.
We started, and God opened a door of hope for us. With our love and dedication, we began to make and sell alfajores to our friends and acquaintances, which was very well received. We received many compliments that gave us the motivation to expand commercially.
During my divorce process, I saw how single mothers had a very difficult time economically, and I thought that the alfajores were going to have a purpose and they were not going to be just a simple cookie, but they were going to be a cookie to help single mothers. The idea of this business is to create working opportunities for single mothers.
